…before the storm

Like every year, hard-core AU staff started arriving yesterday in Las Vegas.  Today, over 100 conference staff are here and in the next 48 hours the truck-loads and truck-loads of equipment that started to come in yesterday will get assembled into the stage on which AU 2006 will play.

Most of the conference space here at the Venetian is great – very compact.  Hallways are wide and class rooms are rather close together that no one will have trouble getting from one class to the next, even if they are on different floors or different campus.  Distance from the Venetian hotel room elevator to the conference center is less then a five minute walk.
