Welcome to AU Japan
Posted by Joseph Wurcher on November 6, 2006
It is Monday morning in Tokyo and I am almost over my Lost in Translation moments. I am staying at the Royal Park Hotel, site of tomorrow’s AU Japan. The Autodesk Japan team has started early this morning setting up the exhibition area, registration and mainstage for tomorrows event. Interesting to see many of the signs we are producing for AU 2006 here in Tokyo with the AU logo on it – and everything else written in kanji.
Like AU 2005 in Orlando, Disney will deliver the keynote address. Craig Russell, VP for Environmental Design & Show/Ride Engineering will talk about “Behind the Magic of Disney Imagineering”. Craig has been with Disney over 25 years. He has worked on Tokyo Disneyland and Tokyo Disney Sea and the Autodesk Japan team is very excited to have him here. Some of the other presenters include Mr. Tatsuya Matsui, President of Flower Robotic and Tetsuya Shiga, VP of Autodesk Japan.
AU Japan is a one day event and the approx. 30 sessions are offered in Manufacturing, Architecture, Civil Engineering, Geospatial and General Design as well as a few sessions on 3ds Max and Buzzsaw.
