Mystery Person at AU
Posted by Joseph Wurcher on October 16, 2006
Later this week, all registered AU participants will receive an invitation to visit AU Connect. Although we think it is a great addition to AU, many of you don’t seem sure why they should use it. Idea is quit simple – just log on to AU Connect using your AU login info and just look around who is coming or what users are discussing in the forums.
To give you an even better reason to “look around”, we created a Mystery Person in AU Connect. Read clues in the “Mystery Person” forum and start your search for the Mystery Person and get entered into a drawing for Las Vegas Show Tickets or a Spa Treatment. AU Online can be fund- but I hope it also helps you meet other professionals you might not be able to meet any other way.
BTW – system works better the more info provided.

Just one question…how on earth do you search by someone’s “likes”? I don’t see it anywhere!

More hints are coming very soon.

I don’t know if you’ve seen this, but any comments that are added at the Additional Information panel in AU Connect do not stay. For instance under ‘Tell Us More’ after I enter text and continue to the end it stays there. But if I come back later to check my profile what I entered is no longer there, replaced by the same ‘Hint’ text. Also, if you look at other registrants’ info those sections are blank also. I emailed the AU Connect Help and got a response that this was fixed but I still see the same effect. Maybe you could check this out.
Appreciate all the info on your blog.

Thanks for letting me know, Joe. I am on it.
Just heard back from the helpdesk – it appears that information shows up for other users and it does not seem to be a global problem…. stay tuned.
